Mathildas is almost here!

Yes, it's just over a week away now until the Brisbane Mathildas Market which is on next Sunday the 1st of November.

"Mathilda's Market showcases and sells beautiful handcrafted and limited production baby and kids goods. Carefully handpicked stallholders bring the most divine and original clothing, accessories, homewares and toys for the little ones. Exquisite wares are lovingly made by some of Australia’s most talented crafters and designers – many of them parents themselves. It’s a shopper’s heaven for those who want to stylishly dress their children or decorate their kids’ home environment, but don’t want to buy mass produced, chain store items. At Mathilda’s Market you’ll see the funkiest and most gorgeous of outfits for the kids, chic bedroom decorations and furnishings, bright and brilliant toys, must-have accessories, pretty and practical bags and shoes, dreamy vintage-inspired creations, handcrafted musical instruments and jewellery, fabulous dress-up costumes, striking linen ... and so much more! As most of the stallholders don’t have a shop front, you are guaranteed to find something truly unique. Come and see our stand at the upcoming Mathilda’s Market on Sunday 1 November, from 9am to 1pm at Brisbane City Hall, King George Square, Main Auditorium (ground floor). With over 60 stallholders and yummy food this will be a fantastic day out for young & old. For a sneak preview, have a look at the website (http://www.mathildasmarket.com.au/). I look forward to seeing you there!"
I am itching to share some photos of the new toys I will have available next Sunday, but the memory card to my camera seems to have wandered! I will do my best to have some photos during the week. Watch this space!

I have been so busy the last few weeks with customer orders which has been really encouraging for me. Things are going to be very hectic in the next few weeks as I will be having a stall at the November Mathildas Market here in Brisbane. If you would like to give a Honey Bunch creation to a loved one in your family this Christmas I encourage you to get your orders in early to beat the Christmas ordering rush after the market.

This gorgeous pig and elephant are on their way to Texas, USA to be apart of a display at a maternity expo.

Sneak Preview

Here's a little sneak preview of photos I am having taken today for a new website I will be joining very soon called Mummy and Me Design. I have been asked to get some photos of my creations in use, so I created a little nursery in my spare bedroom. Do you recognise the quilt?

500 Days of Summer

I met up with my best friend Renae this morning, it has become a weekly ritual for us on a Wednesday which is lovely. She is able to offload her children for the morning and we can go and do girly things together. Today we went to the movies and saw 500 Days of Summer. I really really wanted to see it, and for me it didn't disappoint. It wasn't your average love story, but I still think the way they did it was great.

A Simple Request

I have had this sweet little birdy pattern in my head for some time now, and I finally got it down on paper yesterday. Between doing that and making my first one I saw this Simple Request. I have been following the journey of fellow forum member Kristalee for a few months now, and she has asked for people to send in pictures with her daughter's name, Lola, in them. I thought it was fitting that sweet little Lola receives the first sweet little bird.

You can see Kristalee's blog, Lola Constance Evelyn, here.

Buttercup Bag

I stumbled across this free pattern while looking around for suitable patterns for christmas presents, yes, I am still looking for more! Anyway, it was oh so simple to make and I love how it looks. I bought the fabric a while ago with nothing in mind for it, but it was too cute to leave behind...
